Easy Barbeque Meatballs

Amount: 24 meatballs

ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • ½ cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 (24 ounce) bag Jennie’O Home Style Frozen Turkey Meatballs, thawed
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle Stubb’s Hickory Bourbon Barbeque Sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1(8 ounce) can crushed pineapple in its own juices, undrained
  • ¼ cup water

direction

  1. In a 5-quart Dutch oven, heat oil over medium-high heat for 2 minutes. Add onion and bell pepper; cook until softened and onion becomes translucent (about 5 minutes). Add meatballs; cook until meatballs release any liquid (2-3 minutes).
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in barbecue sauce, ketchup, pineapple with juices and water. Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens (10-15 minutes longer).
